Junior Warden, St. Paul's
I am retired after working 30 years for the telephone company. I started my own pet nanny business part time in 1994. After retirement I continued taking care of pets full time for many years.
My first visit to St Paul’s was when Mother Kathleen was installed by the Bishop as the Rector. I have attended regularly since then. I was an ex-Catholic so I attended the Sunday morning classes taught by Mother Kathleen, which I called Episcopal 101, to learn what it means to be an Episcopalian. I also made a Cursillo a couple of years later
I worked with Ann Horn nine months coordinating the remodel of the Parish Kitchen. I am a Lay Eucharistic Minister and serve on the Worship Team. I have been on the Vestry and also served as Junior Warden.
I volunteer with the Backpack Brigade, the Lord’s Neighborhood Diner when it is St. Paul’s turn. I am one of the Team Leaders for Hospitality. I am a support volunteer at the NW Tacoma Detention Center on the 4th and 5th Saturdays of the month. I am also an Associate of the Sisters of St Joseph of Peace. Our charism is Peace through Justice. St. Paul’s has similar goals and as a Vestry Team member I will be committed to helping St. Paul’s reach their goals as a church.
